  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm approaching two years and 30K km with the cars, including three road trips totaling ~4000 km - and a lot of V2L use when the car is isn't moving, providing power to our trailer. (V2L will be mandatory for any replacement vehicle I have for the next few years).

What sort of work have other GV60s been doing?
Has anyone taken theirs out to a drag strip? I'd love to do a 1/4 mile in mine.

Any drag strips in your area? Some have "open" days where anyone can do a run and get a time.

Sounds like you have the ultimate love/hate relationship with the GV60.

To avoid hijacking this thread, I’ll put my response in the issues thread.

No drag strips nearby that I’m away of, with the possible exception of a members-only track. Heading to the ‘strip was a regular summertime event when I lived in southern Ontario years ago.

No drag strips really in Vegas but I do get to drift it often late at night when roads are deserted.

So...tell us. inquiring minds (at least what is left of mine) want to know:

What was the drifting experience in a GV60 like? I know the GV60P can do it but I haven't tried.

So... tell us. Apart from getting seasick and the resulting body fluids ejection.

I haven't tried the drift mode specifically, but I have been been a little more aggressive on the corners recently and have been pleasantly surprised with the nice oversteer even with full traction mode on, especially when you keep the tire pressure in rear higher than the fronts(as recommended). Needless the say the wife doesn't like it but I am having fun when she is not in the car :)

To be fair to "she who must be obeyed" it is not a pleasant experience for someone in the passenger seat.

Just crossed the 40K km (~25K mi) line (just commmuting) & 20 months of ownership still with 7/32 - 8/32 of tread depth, which is bloody surprising ! 😂 🏎️💨

I know. I can't wait till my wears down so I can replace the tires with Pilot tires.
