  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

why oh why the joystick on the navigator

I've had my R spec for a month now and my biggest complaint is the nav system. the unit in my opinion is slow to respond. the angle of the screen makes viewing very difficult depending on the position of the sun hitting the windshield. I have an Alpine unit that replaced an old antiquated nav unit in my other vehicle. Much more user friendly and presets for the xm/radio are easier to use.

Hyundai would be wise to adjust the angle of the screen, as well as the brightness controls. When set to automatic brightness my screen is too bright at night and too dim in daytime. Sunglasses also exacerbate the problem in daylight.

I expect those of us living in the sunny desert agree that screen washout is the biggest problem. Instead of a rear-window shade we could really use one for the nav screen (or at least position the screen vertically to get rid of some of the glare).

Agree. Or maybe an OLED screen for better visibility in sunlight.
