  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not sure if you want a wider rear tire for looks or for performance. Note that if you don't do all 4 tires you are affecting the performance characteristics of the car. Even though the 5.0 is pretty vanilla in terms of handling, it's relatively neutral in balance and placing larger tires on the rear could introduce an amount of understeer that you may or may not like depending on how hard you push it. Your car should have 235/45-19 tires on an 8" wheel. I don't see a lot of room when the suspension is compressed but you could probably squeeze more in there. Complete tire sizes and specs including height, width, tread width, diameter and RPM are available at Tirerack.com.

The optional summer tire that came on my '12 R Spec is a 245/45 19. That's about as wide as you can go on stock rims.
I know others have gone to a 275 but with different rims and offsets.

The '15 5.0 has a staggered tire set up with 245 front and 275 rear.

Check out this thread. In post #4 I detailed what I have currently on my R-Spec. There is also a link to a good tire size calculator.
