  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

WiFi available?

I don't care for Wi-Fi hotspot, but wireless ACP is quite convenient.

I think we sometimes forget the primary reason of owning a car is transportation. I like lots of goodies, but I don't need to communicate with Air Force One.

I think I’ve seen the word “WIFI” in the engineering menu
But not sure what it does 🤷🏻‍♂️

For the consumer, nothing. There is a traffic app you can download, nothing else.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
traffic app?

I thought the only app was for the alerting features through the Genesis Blue Link app, you have to download the alert app to the car so when you set valet mode in the phone app it will actually talk to the car and alert you .

to my knowledge that is the only app .

^And said app requires a WiFi connection to the car?

How does valet mode work and is blue link the app that lets you see how the cars being driven while in valet mode?
It will send you an email or text when the car exceeds a user specified speed and/or distance

Is the login for blue link same as genesis app or have to sign up again?

Wait is this available in Canada as well? I think I read somewhere it's U.S only

I am confused. What is Blue link?
BlueLink is the connected service running the Genesis app. Hyundai calls in BlueLink and that app will also work on the Genesis.

no only requires wifi to download and install, it is not installed by default in the car. it appears Genesis/Hyundai set the wifi feature up to be able to download and install apps to the HU, but as of yet this is the only app there.

Blue Link is the Hyundai version of OnStar or ConnectedDrive by BMW.

it is the service that runs the back end LTE connection to the car for the phone app and the car to communicate, as well as the emergency services system that is alerted in the event of an accident.

Blue Link is a Hyundai owned data and connected services provider.

Genesis and Hyundai have separate websites for blue link, 2015-2016 Hyundai genesis owners can use either. 2017 forwards Genesis owners have to use the Genesis site.
