If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Battery died, replaced with new battery with matching specs. Car ran fine for the day. That evening, stopped at the store. When I went to start the car, it would not crank. All electronics initialize, but will not activate the starter. Once the attempt to start is done, I am left with the following indicators out on the cash.

Car with key symbol this also remains on after turning on Accessory mode
Battery
Oil
Check Engine

Tried good to on start button to start thinking the fob somehow lost programming. Put a new battery in the fob. So will not turn over the engine. But, everything works, even the key fob for lock unlock and opening trunk.

Appreciate any insights or suggestions. Thanks!

From a technical point, I have no clue. If no one gives a better idea, I'd disconnect the battery a few minutes and see if it reboots and works. That seems to fix some problems

There is also a box on the battery connector. Check that out.

Welcome. This topic has been moved out the community lounge and into the second generation Genesis Sedan forum.

When this happens, press start button to ON then shift down to D and back up to P while having your foot on brake. Then press Start button again, it will start right up. It's either the neutral safety switch or starter I've heard

Hi thanks. I tried that, did get rid of the battery, oil and check engine lights.

Now I just have the indicator that is a car with a key symbol in the middle of it. I believe this is a security indicator?

Anyone have a suggestion? My Key fob seems to be programmed and in sync as it locks, unlocks operates the remote trunk, etc.

That part of the key has nothing to do with starting the car. (Not saying that it is your key, just that the remote buttons on it working does not prove that the part needed to start the car is working.)
I think that most likely your problem is with the fuse box on the positive terminal clamp to the battery.

Thanks for the insights. I have removed and cleaned the positive and negative battery clamps. Made sure they were secure and not wiggle room. Removed and reseated the other cables in that terminal box Any other suggestions to check there?

Apparently, there is a fuse (or fuses?) that sometimes cracks that is on the positive clamp. I don't think that it is visually obvious. You'd have to check that with a meter.

The key car icon means you have an immobilizer issue. Will have to connect car to GDS to diagnose.

You can also try to start car by pressing a corner of your key onto the start button. I don't remember which corner but I think there's a small arrow on the fob indicating direction.

I had the same thing, turned out to be the starter motor ( apparently pretty common on these)

Yep, the starter was the problem. Replaced that and now have traction control warning and ABS and AEB warning indicators lit. The only code being output is for the left front speed sensor. Any thoughts or suggestions?

There's your problem...
Seriously, you have a code that will shutdown the ABS, and turn the warning light on. AEB can't work without the ABS working, so that light comes on too. Why not fix the problem you have that would cause the symptoms you have, before looking for something else?
