  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys,
I got my genesis few days ago and I have noticed a wind noise over 120 km/h or 75 m/h. Is it normal??
And the steering goes to the right above that speed which requires wheel alignment is it also normal for brand new car?

In a word ..... NO !

To make sure the two symptoms are not related have the dealer put the car on the lift and check the undercarriage. If nothing is noted have them recheck the alignment and the front tires on a high speed balancing machine for imperfections.

Check the tire pressure in all (4) tires. Someone on here posted that when the cars come over on the boat they over inflate all the tires for the trip. Maybe they never lowered the tire pressures back to normal.

I believe wind noise over 120 to some extent is expected in most cars. The Genesis too. This has been reported in several reviews. I find the same case as well in mine.

This could be the issue, in one of my posts the 3.8 AWD Ultimate I was driving never had the tire pressure lowered from shipment. They should be running between 33-35 PSI cold and in most situations not over 40 even when hot. If your dealer is close to where you live just take a ride there and they should be at operating temperature, if that # is in the 40's then they are definitely overinflated and will have increased road noise plus not make proper contact with the ground.

You talking MP/H or KM/H? The OP was talking about 75 MPH.
