  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2012 Genesis V6. I noticed that when I'm going 70mph or above, I hear slight wind noise. Of course, this would be expected in most cars, but I was under the impression that that the genesis was one of the quietest cars on the market. I probably am noticing it because of the lack of other road noise.

Does anyone else hear subtle wind noise at 70mph or above?

Nope but I will pay closer attention. I usually have XM playing

I heard a bug hit the windshield at 120mph the other day in my R-spec. :)

RIP little bug.

i can hear wind noise even below 70 mph, but it's very quiet.
the acoustic laminated glass is very good at suppressing wind noise. i don't think you can find another car that's superior in this respect.

road noise transmitted through the tires, however, are a different matter. my relatively new dunlops are very quiet now, but people on this forum are saying that they will get noisier later on.

Turned off the radio on the way home tonight... at 75 nothing, just some tire noise. This car is quiet!

One thing I remember driving the V6 on test drive was that engine was noisier than the V8, maybe you are hearing someone engine noise?
