  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

About a month ago, while traveling on a highway, I heard a clattering noise on the roof of my GV60. It lasted only a few seconds. After I had parked, and then started driving again in a parking lot, I heard the same clatter. When I stopped to investigate, the bright trim from the windshield header drifted down the windshield still only attached at the drivers A pillar.
I brought it to the attention of my local Genesis dealer Stivers Genesis of Columbia (excellent!) while they were performing a recall. At that time they were surprised by it and had never seen the issue prior.
I went in today and had the new trim installed. When I arrived, I was told right after my previous visit they had several other cases of the same issue.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm going to keep an eye on that trim. Flying off at 70+ mph could be dangerous.

Now if only the metal trim above the doors were to fall off, then the car would truly be incredible.

Seeing the vehicle without the bright trim actually made me realize that to me, it actually looks better for having it.
Now, if the top were wrapped black then I would want the silver trim to be black as well.

I should have mentioned this. My car is Vik Black so I would not be introducing a new color/shade.

Huh! Now I see there is a recall to replace this trim for just this issue.
So, guess it wasn't just me.
