  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have 2015 3.8 awd model. Just got my windshield replaced through my insurance (esurance) i asked for OEM and got approved.
I asked the tech if it is the OEM windshield and he said yes. After the installation i looked at the receipt and it says Sikatak safe 30 for product name. Can anyone confirm this is the OEM that came with the car? By the way there is Hyundai logo on passenger side lower left corner.

Based on a quick internet search...it seems that Sikatak Safe 30 is just the adhesive used to install the windshield.
Safe 30 indicates it is safe to drive within 30 mins.

At that price point, it should be. But cannot tell you whether or not it is. However, if it has the Hyundai emblem, I believe it is. Just my .02!

That is the not the OEM part number. The OEM number will start with 86110 or 86111. They might have a supplier that has access to OEM glass, and that is their supplier's part #, or the manufacturer's part #. Either way, if it has the Hyundai logo on it, it should be the OEM glass.

With or without HUD?

Here is what it says on the windshield.

is there a reason why you dont think it's OEM?
Just curious. When i called to setup appointment with Safelite they said my insurance company has to approve the OEM. Normally cars 2+ years older will not be approved. If approved i would owe partial out of pocket but i was approved no questions asked ans $0 out of pocket so I was kind of skeptical. Anyways it does look like OEM and other question is what does TRANSP 70% mean? It has 70% timt on it?

Genesis is not a high volume car so there may not be any non-OEM available yet. I had a side window replaced and it was OEM.
Yes, it is tinted and allows 70% light to pass. I'm not sure but I think that is the max tint allowed on a windshield.

Safelite installed replacement glass for under $500. Non HUD. The difference is the glass does not have the Hyundai logo. Same vendor, same part number. Exactly same logo on glass except for Hyundai above vendor name.. Glass was in stock in Houston. No insurance claim. Had it for months.

The part number listed on the receipt in first post is simply for the top molding. It's not for the windshield. At the price point it should be OEM, aftermarket is usually around $400
