  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The other day I went to the dealership to get an oil change and get my wipers replaced. I haven't had any problems with this dealership before. Its not a big deal now either but when they replaced my wipers they gave me some cheesy wipers that look like they would've come off of an elantra. I initially had the wiper blades with the cover on them. The dealer told me that the wipers that come with the car are not in stock anymore or replaced when getting new ones. it is hard for me to believe that hyundai stopped making luxurious looking blades to replace them with eleantra like blades. Has anyone gotten their blades changed lately and if so what do they look like?

you assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

these blades look cheap and not fitting for my Equus!!! AT ALL

Check out PIAA aero vogue for our cars I think they are right up your ally and possibly the ones that got replaced. :)

The dealer is correct. Those nice blades with the covers shaped with a spoiler on them to press down at high speeds are no longer available as a Hyundai branded replacement. About a year or more ago, took mine in for normal service. The service guy knew me well enough to come into the waiting room with the new kind, and let me know that was all there was. He apologized. And let me know that Hyundai of America changed them. Last fall, he indicated the dealer was still looking for the original brand from Korea for the blades. And had not found them.

I think I am using RainX top model of blade. They seem to work well and do not have the 1960s wiper look.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Just go to any Walmart, AutoZone or Advance Auto. They have several Beam type wipers to choose from that are like the Factory ones. And will be cheaper and that what the Dealer charges

My dealer gives them away for free installed at the normal service. Still, I agree the newer ones look like they should be on a 1966 Impala.

Had a similar experience trying to replace my wipers. The ones that they pulled up were terrible however lucky for me found a totaled Genny on Craigslist and bought the blades of him otherwise I'd be out of luck with the crappy ones the stealership is replacing them with. I now will hopefully have luck with these because once my replacements are no longer good I am forced to use the crappy ones they tried to replace mines with. The killer part was if I did infact replace one I'd have to get both because the stock ones look NOTHING like what they recommended.

Yea, get that. Shame..

I just order my Valeo blades off Amazon.

This may be late but might help others. The wipers that Genesis used on my 2014 Sedan were made by Denso. I paid over $50.00 for a set for my 2012 Subaru Outback. Since then I've leaned that you can go real cheap by buying a quality replacement wiper (from AutoZone etc...) that has the same "identical" rubber inserts as your Genesis. Remove the new inserts and re-install in the Genesis Denso blades. If necessary, the replacements can be longer than needed...simply trim to fit by cutting at the unsecured end.
