Windshield Wiper speed

My windshield wipers have three speeds, I can't figure out how to fix/change it. I have very fast, fast, and then nothing is my only options. Don't know how to fix it but is very annoying that I cant have a slow wipe for a slight drizzle.

You should have off, auto, low and high. Auto will do single sweeps at low if the rain rate is low. This is similar to how most wipers work on most cars.

There is an intermittent setting and you can adjust the sensitivity of it. I set mine four years ago and never changed it as it adapts to the amount of rain. For min, it is about half way on the setting.

MIST : For a single wiping cycle,
push the lever upward and
release. The wipers will operate
continuously if the lever is
held in this position.
OFF : Wiper is not in operation.
AUTO : The rain sensor located on
the upper end of the windshield
glass senses the
amount of rainfall and controls
the wiping cycle for the
proper interval. The more it
rains, the faster the wiper
operates. When the rain
stops, the wiper stops.To
vary the speed setting, turn
the speed control knob (B).
LO : The wiper runs at a lower speed.
HI : The wiper runs at a higher speed.

If you use auto, make sure to shut it off before a car wash. Yes, I am that idiot that did and almost had a blade removed.

That's crazy. No one would do that. Well, maybe just once.
I never turn them completely off since the auto function works so well. Easy to forget.

Not done it since. Seeing the blade completely pulled away from the windshield and then smacked back down, I've not done it since

Note the difference between intermittent and automatic. Genesis vehicles come with the automatic setting.

I must have a broken sensor because my auto does nothing and the low does nothing also. I switch it to low and it does one wipe and then nothing. Very frustrating.

I tinted the windshield but this was an issue when i bought it. To my knowledge it is original

Not done it since. Seeing the blade completely pulled away from the windshield and then smacked back down, I've not done it since

Mine just made a wipe and I was able to get it shut off. Yeah, you don't do it a second time.

My "auto" only works when it feels like it... The only thing that for sure activates it IS the car wash!

I agree. I drove 300 miles in very light rain and the lack of intermittent wipers drove me crazy. Only, my issue is the opposite of yours. Any little speck of something on the windshield makes it come on. And if you are driving over about 70, the speed sensing feature kicks in so it wipes very fast. So, there must be a way of adjusting the sensitivity...

Makes no difference to mine. Just makes flashy lights in the Gauge Pod.

It is supposed to change the sensitivity. Mine is set near the middle. Took a couple of rainfalls to get what I wanted but I've not changed it in five years.

If it is not working that way, get it check out.

It's a little hard to test it right now - unless it will detect snow the same way as rain, which it doesn't appear to do...

Don't recall. It has been 4 years since I drove in snow. No, that is not a complaint/
