  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wing badges -- best place to order?

Thanks for the responses. The cost from the USA-based people is a little more expensive than ebay, but I should get it faster. It seems to be a fair deal to me.

One last question...if I use the oven trick, does that mean I don't need to use a dremel or drill any holes or anything?

The only triming is removal of the tabs on the back of the wings that arefor the front hood. No holes are needed fro any wing badge. Here is a link to a video for the rear trunk wings. http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/video.php?do=viewdetails&videoid=25

???
Ordered my wings from SFR on Weds, they were in my post box today...How can you beat that?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The left edge of my steering wheel badge was RAZOR sharp, so sharp in fact I cut myself badly while putting i on...waiting for SFR to reply to my request for a replacement...

I just ordered a tailgate badge on E-Bay for ~$10 including shipping! I figured you can't go wrong for that price... and the part number matched exactly what was shown in the video.

I just bought them from Kdmstuff.com. They sell various kits and I believe the 4 wheel inserts and the steering wheel emblem where $38.00. They are located in eastern Pennsylvania. They arrived in california in 4 days with there free standard shipping. If you want the new winged airbag they sell it for $245 with free shipping. They also have a phone number on their web site if you want to talk with someone. The wheel inserts and other badges do fit the 2012's

SFR Wing badges -- best place to order?

Like I mentioned in the rebadging thread- be careful on the SFR website when you order. I ordered for what I have-V6-18" wheel caps. I thought they were using generic pix and ordered. I got flat caps instead of the non flat that I needed so don't make my mistake.
P.S. no answer at their their Pennsylvania phone numbers and no answer from my email yet. Maybe they're sleeping in today I guess?

Re: Wing badge -- rear trunk installation (scews or no-screws)

Okay, spent hours searching for hopefully an easy question. I've viewed Youtube on de-banding the Genesis "Coupe". Apparently it has 2 screws you need to remove...my question...does my 2011 sedan have the screws? Or is it that simple to debadge and drop in the new one?
Thanks

i just put mine on the trunk of 2011 4.6 and the holes matched the posts perfect. no mod was needed. i got it on ebay from cyberguyca. it looks good.
thought you guy might want to know where to get one

I highly recommend eBay seller vip_snow. Located in the US, ships very promptly, answers emails promptly, all around excellent seller.
