  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all, I just bought new 2012 3.8 V6 Tech yesterday!!:D
and i want to change the rear trunk emblem, steering wheel, and wheel caps.
I have read lots of threads about changing these. And i need some help on steering wheel and wheel caps. please help me guys!

steering wheel : should i just get the sticker badge with 3M tape ?
wheel caps : should i replace the wheel caps? or sticker cap as steering wheel.

please help!!!!!!! Thanks.!

Sticker on steering wheel works ok, its is put on over the "H". Do not use stick on caps for the wheels. Buy the correct set of caps for the size of wheels you have. The set that covers the lug nuts on 18" wheels is about $130.00. The set for 17" wheels which is just the insert that snaps into the center of the wheel is about $40.00. Also take a look at the video on how to change the trunk badge, it helps a lot. Link to video[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6l9hfr-J64"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6l9hfr-J64[/ame]

The stick on steering wheel emblem looks nicer in person than it did on the photos. Very easy to install, just clean the H with some isopropyl alcohol, align, and place the metal sticker over. Do not push too hard since the genesis steering wheel emblem can bend. I did not experiment with the H on the wheels since it is very subtle and the caps are not that cheap to replace.

For the rear genesis wings, I found that heating up the original H, using a fishing line or something similar to pry it off, and then using a hairdryer again to heat up and roll up the remaining glue with your fingers worked better than trying to use goo gone on the glue. I would clean it with isopropyl alcohol afterwards and then apply the wings.

I think the opposite. I installed the sticker and IMO looks worse in person. Replaced with the winged airbag and sold my OEM airbag for $150 on Ebay. A few pics in my photo album.

I agree the airbag looks better than the sticker, but I still like how it looks for $11. I like to stare at it more than the Hyundai H:)

I am probably not as hands on as you on my car, as I did not want to mess with an airbag, was afraid I would connect it incorrectly, would blow up in my face, or buy one that was faulty and would not want to find out about it after an accident.
