  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

i was on the highway with heavy rain and hard cross wind, this caused my wipers to be blown into the trim along my pillers and chipped the paint.blades are in good shape. i got a booking on monday at hyundai to find out if there going to do anything about it. anyone have this problem? i feel i shouldent have to pay for anything seen how they built it poorly, should of gave it a extra inch. i hope it goes smooth because if they want to claim there cars as good as others that cost $20 more they better be able to fix there short comins and match there customer service

Never seen that happen to a car, and I've driven through a lot of nasty Florida thunder/tropical storms. No way a crosswind should ever do that -- if it's strong enough to bend the wiper, it should have blown the car off the road. But make sure you have OEM blades not cheap aftermarket refills. If it's OEM blades, then it's likely a defect in assembly workmanship (failure to set mechanical limit properly, failure to assemble properly) or materials (wiper arm was weak and bent under normal use). If you have cheap aftermarket refills and they (not the arm) got bent by a crosswind, then the dealer probably won't do much for you.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

You must have aftermarket wipers on the car. Unless your car got picked up by a tornado, I can't see how this was possible.

there from hyundai, i live in the middle of canada and the car goes throught 7 months of hard winter;heavy snow, temps from -10 to -45. this could add extra wear to my car

Recently my wipers have acted erratically on my 09. At times they sweep too far to the left past the actual windshield. When this happens they won't return to the rest position. This has happened both on a windy or on a quiet day. Tends to happen when the rain sensitive function is turned on. I have oem wipers. Dealer couldn't replicate problem. Any ideas?

I experienced today on my 2012 4.6 when in rain sensing mode. Guess I'll pay the dealer a visit too.

have you fixed this problem? my wipers don't stop at the correct point (about an inch away from the edge of the windshield) and continues on and hits the actual trim. this is on a normal basis.

can the dealership actually adjust this so it stops hitting my trim?
