  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello I own a 2012 Genesis 3.8 with all the extras. The other day while washing my car I tried to turn on the wipers to remove excess water and they would not activate. All I get is a clicking as if they want to move but are being held back. Please let me know if this happens to anyone else and is there a fix?

Haven't seen this problem on the boards, but the easiest thing to check is the torque on the wiper bolts. Just pry up the covers on at the base of the wiper arm and you can loosen the bolts with a wrench or socket. Can try removing the blades and seeing if the hubs will spin without the arms. If they still won't move, you'll probably need new wiper motors.

Thanks, I will try loosening the bolts. That may be it since the problem showed up after the dealer changed my wiper blades. Thanks.
