  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a new 2025 GV70 and I am using currently using Apple Car Play with a USB cable. I was told at the dealer that wireless Apple Car Play would be enabled in my vehicle by Genesis within six weeks or so. Can anyone please tell me exactly how this will happen? Should I be expecting an over the air update? Is there some way to ask my car to search for updates? Thanks!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
It will update over the air eventually. You can log into your genesis owners site and download the update. It's easy and only takes about 20 min to apply.

Thanks for the information!

You have to register on the website to get OTA updates to work, apparently (I don't know, I'm in Canada and we don't get OTA for some stupid reason). If you don't want to wait, just go to the Genesis Navigation Updater and download the update to a USB stick and plug it into the data port to update it. Lots of instructions for it out there...that's the only way I can do it but you can do it whenever you want instead of waiting for OTA...

Getting the update is a nightmare. I can't get it online and it says OTA update available but it won't let me do it. Neither the dealer or Genesis can solve these issues.

1. The OTA update is not on demand. You cannot press a button in the car to make it work.
2. Why can't you get it online? You'll have to download it onto a USB drive, then use that to install in the car.
