Wireless charging with iPhone 15 Pro Max on 2017

I just got an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Does anyone have wireless charging working either with or without a case on their 2017-2019 G90 with this phone?

Just trying to figure out if my wireless charger is broken (it is enabled in settings) or it’s never going to work because of the form of the phone (3 camera bumps).

Mine fits in the charger but I’m not sure it fits flat enough. The light doesn’t go on.

Mine worked with the S21 Ultra but it never charged fast, it charged better when the phone was over 90% rather then below 25%

My 14 pro max charges but the camera bump often gets in the way. Ended up getting a cup holder mount with MagSafe charger that works out better for me.

Yes it does. The light color changes when it’s charging.

For those with phones that don't fit or line up with wireless in the car for whatever reason - consider magnetic charge ports & cables as an option. We've switched to them exclusively on every device we own, and it's been awesome. Going to these a couple years ago has been game-changing when it comes to charging and connectivity. Do your research for which brands, etc - since we are not allowed to post links to products.

I will say go for the oval-shaped and straight ones vs. the round or articulating ones as they are far more durable, and also go with braided cables for the same reason. Also - when you pick a brand - stick with it. Different brands have different shaped/pinned connectors on the magnetic side - they are NOT all interchangeable. Also - these cables work just fine with wired Android Auto and CarPlay. But - you are looking for something like this (they also make them in USB-C for the head-end):

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and it will not charge in my 2023 G80. I even had the wireless charger replaced at the dealership with no luck even without a case on it. I had an old iPhone 8 Max that will charge but I believe the camera bump has made it impossible to charge.

Wireless chargers are finicky, the coils need to be lined up. Try putting the phone in bottom first vs top first. It's possible the iphone's coil position is too high/low on the phone to line up with the car's coil.

I try not to use the wireless charger. Only on short trips. They're about 70% efficient and rest of it is rejected as heat so they get hot when you use them for too long. I'll often get an overheat warning on just a 30 min trip.
