  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wood grain panels

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
It's came standard on the Canadian model, with Tec

Now if you buy an Equus, you get real wood!

Loving it!

So far as I can tell the 'link' only goes to the forum photos of the item. Can you (are anyone) tell me where /how to buy it?
As mentioned in earlier posts, the Genesis wood-grain plastic dash comes on the US Base V6 model and most Canadian models (I think all V6, even with Tech Package). The Equus comes with real wood dash. I don't know of any after-market products, certainly none that would stick on the leather dash.

The pictures posted on this forum appear to be a Canadian Genesis V6 Tech Package with the standard wood-grain plastic dash.

Another way to go:

and

are for the sedan w/Tech.

Real woods are available from the descriptions, as well as other finishes. I have dealt with them on my spoiler, and am quite pleased.

Neither 'carid' nor 'sherwood' has the actual woodgrain trim displayed in the (their) adds. What they do have is a 21 - 24 pc. set of plood that covers everything, but but what we're looking for. I have a friend who's a carpenter /cabinet maker. He say's he's never try doing a car before, but thinks it would be an interesting challenge. All I need to do is make templates for him & be available from time to time for fittings.

It would be nice if somebody made "real" wood trim, not woodgrain.

The above are pictures of real wood trim.

I have that black in my car. It is not real wood...

From what I have been told by a Mobis dealer in Korea, it is real wood for the domestic market.
