  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For those that have the real wood, what are you using as protection?

it's laminated isn't it, shouldn't have to use anything but a damp rag.

my understanding it's a veneer, real wood but thin on the 5.0 Ultimate - I may be mistaken but I think it's a real veneer.

I understand that, but it has a clear lamination over it to protect it like a clear coating, so no wood treatment should be required.

I don't know what they used, but the hand car wash near me put something on it. Really looks good. While you don't "need" anything, it can be improved. Has a slight shine and much richer look. Just like when you put an oil finish on good woodwork.
