  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Would you buy a GV70 again?

Hello all. I am considering a new GV70 next year. I currently drive a 2012 Infiniti QX50 with the old 3.5 V6, which makes 300HP and is a little rocket. I have put nothing but brakes, oil changes and changed the fluids. Car runs great! I am just looking for something new and different. But I don't want to buy an unreliable car that will give me headaches from an unproven network of glorified Hyundai dealers. Would you guys buy yours again or stick with the Japanes reliabilty and perhaps buy the Acura RDX. Don't like the CVTs in the new QX50/55 nor the VCM engines. Thanks!

I've only had my GV70 for a few weeks, but I love it. As far as would I get another one, time will tell. We've had the QX50, Q60, Lexus RC350, and RDX. The GV70, hands down, is my favorite. Don't put too much stock in the horror stories. Remember, it's human nature to complain but not many compliment. So complaints are always heard the loudest. Go drive one. If you like it, get it.

I only have 1.5k miles and 2 months on my 2023 GV70 3.5, and my reply echos the above post. Reading this forum is going to give anyone hesitation with a potential purchase. But I believe that's the nature of internet forums; the posts aren't selections of random owners. These posts reflect those with "big mouths." No offense intended; there are many here who are true enthusiasts and are good ambassadors for Genesis. I would buy my vehicle again with zero hesitation.

2k miles and 6 months on a 2.5SP, and without a doubt I would buy again. Go drive one. Compare it directly against the RDX/NX/RX. The RX is the only one that comes close to interior appointments, but it's also more costly.
