  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm getting ready to wrap my roof, but am having difficulty figuring out how to access the underside of the antenna.

I can slide my fingers under the headliner, but can't get enough space to get a wrench in on the nut. I've tried feeling around under the headliner from the back with a trip removal tool, but by feel only, I can't seem to find where it is safe to pull down.

Have anyone else done theirs and if so, and tips or pics?

I do have pics of what the underside of the headliner looks like (thanks to someone selling one on eBay), as well as Genesis' parts drawing, but doesn't help me much.

Thanks!

I had my roof and shark fin antenna wrapped, they didnt need to remove it at all, they just wrapped it while it was on the car. Looks perfectly fine to me

Did you figure out how to take the antenna off???

2023 SP. Body shop just told me they cant get headliner off to PDR dent in rood. Anybody have anything on this?

I've read on here that in order for the headliner to be removed the windshield must be removed. The headliner is then removed through the windshield opening. Not sure if total removal would be required for PDR.

Thanks, it doesn't needs to come out, just lowered, but it won't let go and 3 people so far don't know why, :-(

I actually just posted a thread on how to remove the shark fin on a 2022+, buts its still under approval

Interesting! Is there anything in particular to be concerned about when removing as you work towards the front? I jumped in here because 2 people told me they couldn't remove it, I know learned about the clips by the rear window, I need PDR work done, and am now micromanaging, because I do not want any other problems.

Having to remove windshield, or seats/console to take out the headliner is absolutely ridiculous. Now I know why a guy who has a broken (exploded) moonroof said windshield needed to come out, and may be broken too. That's nuts.

Thank you!

Thanks so much! I believe I have found a competent shop, but I feel much better understanding this now.
