  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Here we go folks, its a free two week trail of XM radio. This again will substanciate that at the end of this trail your voice control system will begin to screw up. First thing is your voice control will not work, it will say please wait, then the system will freeze up and you will have to stop on the roadside turn the car off and restart in order to regain your system, but don't touch that voice control button or you will have to do it all over again. It will take more then a month for this to dissipate as XM leaves some sort of string ,(data) in your system and the only way you can get rid of it immediatly is to disconnect your battery for 30 minutes.

I am in Canada and I am not sure if the free trail is in the USA as well, but keep your eyes open.

My XM trial period also ended, but I have no problems. I still get quite a few of the XM stations, but not all of them. I was wondering if I'm just lucky or if you get some of the channels anyway.

My subscription ended years ago, and no problems to report still.

Our SIRIUS(XM) trial ended a couple of weeks ago (3 months). At the end, it just went back to the preview crap.

We've been an XM customter for years, so please note that even though Sirius and XM merged (or whatever), the Sirius side of the house is still a bit separated from the XM side. We have a Bose XM system in a 2004 Envoy, a stand alone XM in my Isuzu, and I cover my parents in OH with an older Roady under our plan. Anyways, a few weeks after getting the Genny, we started getting those 'dunning' letters in the mail - you know, "your Sirius is expiring, pay now to avoid connection fee" thing. Anyways I let it lapse to see what would happen. A couple of days after the end date, the programming ceased. I figured we could see all the radios on the Sirius site.

I logged onto the Sirius site and no radios were listed, which I thought weird. SO I went to the XM site, and ended back up on the Sirius site. We called them and got it all straightened out and now I can see all the radios online in one place. It was a bit time consuming, and we refused to pay the "reconnect" fee (they waived it).

They still would not give us free online listening, which you used to get for FREE. NO big deal, I can live with out that.

What sort of deals does Siruis/XM offer for renewals after the trial ends?
