  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

XM has 18 presets (dunno if it's only on the Ultimate or if it's all models) and the first 6 presets have an icon next to the channel that indicates a record option. Has anyone found any info about this option? I've looked every place I can find in the owner's manual and can't find any reference to the option. Anyone have any info? TIA.

I saw it in mine (Ultimate as well).

Didn't see anything in the manual, but I found out that if you save a channel to one of those presets, you can rewind the channel after you tune to it.

I have not tested out how long it will record for. This reminds of my of old Sirius Replay radio that would save up to an hour on the channel you were listening too. Great for when a call came in and I wanted to rewind to see what I missed.

Hope this helps.

You're probably right. I saw the rewind option but the discrete "Rec" icon made me think there was more to it. Thanx.

Yep. Had the same observation. You will notice that only on the SXM window there's to the right three soft buttons, Fast reverse, Pause and Fast Forward. The REC icon refers that you can use the three buttons to go back to hear the music or news or pause or fast forward later. There is also another butoon above that states Live Play Or something like that. Hit that one and you revert to current song or news. And yes, there is a lot of conditions and situations that are not covered in the three manuals. You have to park the car and while the wife is preparing supper play with all the hard and soft buttons, especially where it says EDIT.
HERE IS ANOTHER ANNOYING PROBLEM.... Once you enter your home address for HOME or second address for OFFICE you can't gert rid of them (delete) from being flagged, and worse! Everytime I approach within 300 feet of my home a warning two chime alert is sounded. If I try to turn OFF Sound Alert it will go right back to ON. Queries have been met with deaf ears. But don't get me wrong, I love this car, a vast improv over my 2010 Genny, especially in suspension.

The first 6 buttons record up to 2 minutes and 30 seconds. If you have a station after the first 6 its like 10 seconds or something like that.
