  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all!

I'm on the verge of finally getting a Genesis coupe, so excited!
I've wanted one since I saw the concept back in 06/07.
So, I've been looking at a couple and am going out to purchase on this weekend.
One on my list is a 2013 3.8 Track for 16k.
What's the issue? It's a salvage title.
Ran the CarFax on it, it was in a severe accident with no structural damage.
The insurance company did total it out.

I asked for pictures of the car after the accident from the dealer, and they provided.
I intend on looking under the car and potentially bringing along a mechanic to look at it
to make sure. However, the car is an hour and a half away.

I thought I'd come and get some opinions. I've attached some photos of the car. From what I can tell, the damages do appear to be
mostly cosmetic, without having affected the suspension or the frame.

Thanks! Hopefully I'll be posting around looking for the right mods and such next!

Not what you want to hear, but I'd keep looking. When it comes time to sell ( and that time will come ), that salvage title is gonna rear it's ugly head.
