  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Your New Inside Connection

Guys, there are indeed tremendous deals out there. These $8,000 rebates and other huge rebates and completely regional. Just because someone got a $50,000 car in Missouri for $42,000, it doesn't mean you can walk into your dealer in California and demand the same thing.

You also cant expect to lease these expensive cars for $3-400 unless you're looking at a demo or have one of these amazing rebates available to you locally...

I hope I am able to provide insight, and partially some reality.

I was told that the update for AA ACP would of been out in July, straight from a Hyundai exec to my GM. He passed the word along as did we.

Until there is a press release or something on paper, I don't know what to believe!

This may not be the best thread to post AA/ACP news, but I received an email from Ricky Lao from HMA recently stating "...I unfortunately still do not not have any updates on the status or availability of either Car Play or Android Auto for the Genesis sedan."

Not very promising. Either the ship has long sailed and we are simply grasping at air or it will be on the 2017 Genesis G80 and they want to announce it when the G80 hits the U.S. market to maximize the publicity, thus the complete silence. If the latter is the case, hopefully the G80 uses the same head units and the 2015/16 Genesis' and we will be able to acquire AA/ACP via SD card.

I'm not holding out any hope, so if it does ever happen, it'll be all the more exciting.

This isn't quite accurate. You can get $13k off MSRP on a 5.0. I got $11.6k off on a 3.8 Tech and the rebate was $1500 higher for 5.0's so that would mean $13k off right there.

Just curious where you live? I work in Internet Sales at a Hyundai store in GA and, when I purchased my 3.8 Ultimate in July, I didn't get near $11k off MSRP. And I qualified for military, Valued Owner, AND Uber ($750 off). And there's ZERO in rebate cash available here on the Genesis now and $1,000 for VOC. We do get $500 vouchers that can be used at the dealership's descretion, but they would have had to give you a LOT of vouchers.

I have a 2016 Gennie Htrac 3.8 Ultim just bought. I cannot get download center to work. No matter what I do, I get "Trouble with network connection, try again later". WiFi is on and have excellent signal strength.WTF di I have to do to get this to work as I would like to download Apps from the center. In NONE of ALL the books I got with car is there any referance to what to do with that massage, WIFI is on, Do I have to go back to dealer for training or is there a problem? Just came from Sonata Limited Turbo and all the glitz and tech stuff is nice, but only if it works. car only has about 70 miles on it. Any help would be great.

Hi everyone. I've been browsing here for a long time and recently joined to add my 2 cents.

I am the Business Development and Internet Sales Director at a top 3 Hyundai Dealer in the country. I would love to assist anyone with any sales related questions, availability concerns, lease quotes, retail quotes, anything really.

Feel free to message me or continue on in this thread.

I'm also the proud owner of a 2015 5.0. So I literally know the Genesis from top to bottom.

Also, i'm very familiar with BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, and other comparable vehicles.

I look forward to communicating with you all! :grouphug:

Sammy Can only hope your dealerships are better than the one I purchased my 2015 Genesis from here in Minnesota. Terrible service and reliability. Can't wait until they establish the Genesis separation. Right now at least with the Hyundai dealers I have dealt with, they have no right to sell and service such a good car.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Sammy, thanks for you offer to help. Having someone in the industry is good.

I leased a 2015 Genesis Ultimate AWD last week. The dealer used four $500 factory vouchers (I had to sign each one), $0 at signing except for the first month lease payment, and included a discount for owning a competing car. $397 for 36 months, $30,041.85 residual, 10K mi per yr. The $397 included CO sales tax. 91 miles on the Genesis. $44,333 total cost for a $52.705 window sticker price. I was happy, as I had emailed an inquiry to ALL the front range Hyundai dealers asking for their price on a 2015 Ultimate AWD and had their responses to compare.

That's a good deal seeing as we can only use 5 max coupons on a '15 3.8. Enjoy your beautiful new ride and many happy miles!

I edited my last post to "not out until 2017", which is what I've meant all along.

Seeing as the 2016s came out at the end Q4 of 2015 and the 2016 5.0s aren't even in production yet, I don't expect to see them this calendar year is all i'm saying.

The only wild card is nixing the 2016 5.0 for an early release of the G80.

Which again, if I were a gambling man, don't expect to see a G80 until 2017.

I think your wrong with respect to the G80 timing based on what Hyundai execs said at the G90 launch in LA, what Genesis Motors USA has on their website as well as feedback (albeit indirect to me) from HMA. I'm thinking it's going to be "nixing the 2016 5.0 for an early release of the G80". Time will tell and plans may change.

BTW - 2016's did not come out at the "end Q4 in 2015" - they were physically on dealer lots in late October - like this one that I took a picture of on October 31st:

The latest report (confirming earlier ones) is that the G80 (w/ a slight refresh) will be launched sometime this summer, along with the G90 (makes sense as Hyundai wants to launch the Genesis brand); presumably, a more extensive MCE will be done at a later date.

The new G70 will launch in 2017.

Hyundai dealerships will continue to sell the G80, but upon the next full redesign of the G80, only select dealerships (around 325) will get the Genesis brand.

Genesis also gets its brand chief in Erwin Raphael.

YEH, Thanks for the article link.

When the G80 is launched, there might be a spate of rebadging on the older Genesis.

Sammy:

What's the scoop on leasing 2015 leftovers?

I have been shopping and have been told by several dealers that Hyundai is not leasing 2015 any more, yet the Hyundai website says the 2015 leasing incentive expires on 2/29/16.

One dealer with a smokin' deal said that they can't get the Hyundai lease, but can do a "standard" lease with a higher money factor.

And several others have said there's no problem w/ a lease through Hyundai (but they don't have the car I want).

So which is it? Any insight would be appreciated.

Always trust a car salesman. They never lie.

From what I've been told, you can only lease 2015s until the end of this month. If they extend the programs due to excess inventory, is yet to be determined.

Just wondering if you received my email a few days ago about pricing?
