  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Any buyer experiences on a '13 yet? I've started negotiations with a local dealer for a 2013 RSpec; I'll post my number if/when the waltzing concludes. Unfortunately, the car he's found isn't local and I don't intend to pay any trumped-up "transfer fee" or accept a cross country drive-up. Wish me luck.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
How does $41760 + $200 (dealer fee) + TTL sound? (2013 RSpec sedan)

I've been offered a 2013 R-Spec for $41,800 + TTL.

Thank you; that's reassuring. In the STL area, all dealers seems to charge the $200 "Cause we can" fee. Not gonna fight over it; my sales guy has worked hard to make this deal happen. I boutght it.

ok everyone -now's your opportunity to tell me (especially someone nearby) that you just got a '13 RSpec for $39k!

I sure wouldn't be paying the $200 fee or the price would be coming down to $41,600. They sense your "desire" to have a new car. Tell them you've been checking and give them a lower number. When they say no, head for the door. It's month's end, they'll either not let you get to the door or they will call you before Nov 1.

I said I was offered a 2013 R-Spec for $41,800------that was their number. Once I test drive an Equus (pretty sure I'm not spending that kind of money), I'll return and give them a lower number. I'm gray haired and they know it's not my first rodeo. They know I will also wait to get a better deal if necessary.

What dealership made you the offer?

I picked mine up at Dean Team Hyundai in St. Louis last night. What a beautiful machine; my girlfriend was drooling all over it tonight... The car, you dirtbags. ;)

Congratulations! I have been very impressed by mine though I've only owned it a month. What color did you end up with?

Though I absolutely love a Genesis sedan in black, I went with white -knowing the lazy bastard that I can be about keeping a car spotless. It just seemed the best choice for me. The car is gorgeous, and I couldnt be happier with it for the money.

As much as I love my shiny black 2012 and how it looks all nice and clean, it does get old sometimes with the upkeep.

I picked up a 2010 3.8 from Dean Team last Saturday. It was the blue one w/ black interior, don't know if you saw it or not.

I believe I remember your car there; very nice color on the sedan -but then again I've looked at every Gen on their lot for the past six months! I'm up and down Manchester Rd. all the time. I'll honk if I see you! Best of luck with your new car.

Yes, mine is Titanium. I think white looks quite good on the R-Spec. I need to do better on this car, as I can identify with what you said. My daily driver Prius gets washed once a year, whether it needs it or not!

I am looking for a 2013 3.8 base.. What price should I be aiming for? DC area anyone?

Thanks!

A good place to start:

http://www.edmunds.com/

Take the dealer net, add $300-500, and SUBTRACT any rebates. That will get you pretty close. Tough negotiating and walking out of the dealership once or twice might get you down to dealer net minus rebates.

I went on cars.com and found a dealer to match a low price. Although mine is a 2012 they are unchanged. I would expect to pay around 28k

Thanks.. I understand there would be approx $2K worth of rebates, but even $30k before rebates for a base 3.8 sounds too good to be true.

Were you "requesting quotes" through Cars.com?

I ended up buying a 2010 myself, but the local hyundai dealer in Oklahoma, had a R-spec 2013, with 1340 miles on it for 26,900.
