DIS Nav System Screen Brightness Adjustable?

I've looked all through the manuals, searched on the Internet and fiddled with every button and knob I can find on my 2012 R-Spec but cannot find any way to dim the nav screen during nighttime hours.

It doesn't affect me but the wifey is complaining it is too bright at night. The dash lamp adjustment does not affect the nav screen.

Is there an adjustment somewhere or do I print out the divorce papers?

Do you have it set to auto mode for screen brightness? Info is on page 275 of my DIS manual. Not sure what page the info is on for 2012.

Yes, it was set to 'auto' but I found yet another setting in 'system settings' which sets the base brightness and that seems to have done the trick.
