  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 Genesis 3.8 w/Tech package....
This morning my wife was backing the vehicle out of the garage and the backup sensor activated as it normally does. Indicating a close object to the left rear and center rear of the vehicle. The left rear indication is normal and is caused by the left side door frame of the garage opening. Once the vehicle passes the door frame the left indication goes away. The rear center sensor remained activated all the way out of the driveway until the gear shift was placed in drive.

Temp this morning was in the low 30's causing vapor and condensation smoke from exhaust. Is it possible the exhaust vapors are dense enough to activate the rear backup sensor?

Owned vehicle for almost 3 years and do not recall this issue in the past.

Oddly enough. I am having this problem with my front sensors! Other cars' exhaust fumes are setting it off. So yes, it is possible for that to happen.
