Congratulation Matt. I have 2 girls and they are wonderful. We too have you and your family in our prayers and will continue until he is well. I know this is a difficult time of the year but will bring your family closer together every Christmas.

Oh....just found out......

ITS A GIRL!!!

31 years ago I had a daughter.
29 years ago I had another.
23 years ago I gained one through marriage.
19 years ago we added a son.

Our oldest has given us Carley, who is now 3 and is the EXACT duplicate of her mom when she was 3. Dejavu all over again . As much as I love my son and grandsons, I have a VERY special place in my heart for my daughters and granddaughter.

Get the shotgun now. Just be cleaning it when the guy come by. It works wonders.

HA! I love it!

As soon as we got in the car to leave the Doctor's office my wife said..."Woah, I need to start planning a wedding!!!" "Who is she taking to prom??"

We are tickled to death! She will be daddy's little girl. I have already been checking out EBAY for some girls golf clubs!!!

I dont reckon Ill be out buying any more guns though. I already have an arsenal! I was big into hunting until I swung my first golf club!

Its 7:18 PM on January 6 at the Heart Center in Huntsville, AL.

The nurses have just come in and told us that they are wrapping things up and that he should be out in an hour or so. Of course...we bombed her with a thousand questions that she could not answer but she said the Doctor should be here after while to give us a complete update. So far, it seems that the surgery is a success!

It has been a loooong, wet day and I am amazed at the love that friends and family have shown. In times like this, you truly see the hearts of those you love.

Thanks again to all of you who thought about my dad today. Once the doctor comes in I will give another update.

Thanks guys.

Its Wednesday morning around 6:30.

The Doctor came in about 9:00 and said Dad did great! The sugery was a total success! However, he will need to be put on a very aggressive PILL treatment. He said that even though the sugery went well, there is still a substantial amount of plaque in the arteries and the reason for the plaque is because of family history (diabeties, hereditary).

They said that at 1 AM that the ventilator will be removed. 4 AM he will be sitting up in bed and by 10:30 this morning he will be walking the hallways. I'm amazed.

More to come as I hear it today.
