  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do to the Gennie today?

I got a car cover for my Genesis

I put on a rear window spoiler.

Just cleaned my exhaust outlets.
But I did see another G' same color as mine with a winged badge on the trunk.
Where-> Applebee's Merced Ca..
"Be Happy it's A Hyundai😎"

First year of ownership - hand wash and spray detail weekly, wax every three months. Second year, hand wash now and then. Third year - car wash. Still looks good, but my standards and energy have dropped.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Got my rear window shade installed.

Got my memory settings for steering wheel and seats fixed.

Oops....... after 4.5 hours, found out there were going to have to order the parts to fix the seats and steering wheel.

Did get my 12v outlets fixed as the fuses were blown. Of course they blamed me for that...... NOT!! Why do dealers always want to blame the owners?!

Nice. Mine was opti-coated too. Front clip is xpel rest of car is opti-coat.

I installed the MSA secondary cat deletes. I love it...little more growl when I punch it and no drone and still quiet when I am cruising.

What is all about? Where can I get more info about cost and what it does and of course prices?

They are both paint protection products.
Opticoat is a coating that it applied by hand with an applicator sponge
XPel is a paint protection film that protects the car from rock chips and other things that can damage the paint.

Both are recommended to be applied by a professional installer. Prices vary.

I had XPel installed on my entire hood, front bumper, quarter panels, headlights, and fog lights.

Hi All,
sat in my "G"..looked around and was amazed at how far all vehicles have come from the 60's.. Due to an impending move my "G" is dirty both inside & out..B U T once the move is completed on the 15th. I am planning on a full Professional Detail.. Many years ago I had a UK Rover V8. A most luxurious
and powerful vehicle, the "G" reminds me of the Rover..Though obviously the "G" is a much more advanced vehicle.

I brought her in for some new fog light housings, both had a bunch of condensation behind them. They covered the replacement under warranty which was a nice surprise as each housing runs around $190-200. Since they were covering that I bought some really nice PIAA H8's to replace the stock bulbs along with some D1S's and H7's. The D1S's are Sylvania 5000k and the H7's are GE Nighthawks. I'll take her out one evening this week and take some pictures to post. The bulbs are all incredibly brighter than the stock ones and look great plus the visible light distance has increased at least 50'+ down the road providing greater edge illumination especially to the right side.

I'm hoping the new Genny has a much brighter lighting solution, one of my chief complaints with this car has always been the feeling that the lights didn't reach out far enough for being HID's and they are a royal pain in the @ssterick to adjust with an easily damaged mechanism. The NHSTA really needs to get with the program on lighting distance requirements and technology to make it safer to drive especially during the evening hours. There is no reason why our headlights can't reach 400' or more down the road and not blind oncoming drivers, other countries are doing it. I remember my old 1986 T-Bird had automatic high beams and nobody ever flashed me for having them on as the sensor was decent even for a car made 25 years ago.

To-day, I walked around the "G" and kicked the tires, looked at the very dusty exterior and thought "No Way" am I washing this car to-day it's just 2
damn hot 😳 relaxAvous time 🍷🍷🍷

This may be the most friendly, enjoyable and important thread in the forum. It merits daily attention and participation from all.

My latest fun with my G involved putting some OEM LED lighted door sills on the car. Talk about life's cheap thrills. It was so easy to install them and the beam for the buck factor is high. Of course, as my wife says about most of my toys, "Whatever!".

Tomorrow we'll head south in the G to the beach towns of North and South Carolina. This is what retired folks do when the kiddies return to school. Yea! Hopefully, there will be no motorcycle "conventions" along our route and my dreams of frequent Calabash suppers (Southern-fried seafood) will be fulfilled. The Germans call eating "old folks' sex."

Parked next to a "real" Bentley earlier this morning at a Lakeside restaurant. Two black "Bentleys", side by side. From the rear, I kinda like mine better. Well, sorta . . . almost better. :D

She still turns heads daily which is refreshing since most cars are so cookie cutter anymore. At least once a day someone asks me what kind of car it is, to which I happily reply ...it's a Hyundai, that's when the conversation really starts.

Took the car in (again) this time for the infamous drive-shaft problem. Part is on order (of course) and will have to wait several days for the fix. This is the 5th time the car has been in the shop in the 5 weeks I've owned it. *sigh*
