  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I think that I have discovered a nice little iOS 7 improvement that benefits us Genesis people. I have a 2012 Technology package, but I bet this is the same for other years and options...

Every time I connected my iPhone 5 through the Genesis iPhone cable, it would start playing the alphabetically first song in my library. I got pretty sick of hearing Styx A.D. 1928 over and over again. Rarely the phone would remember the last song it was playing, but I could not depend on it. I assumed that this was just a behavior of the Genesis, and I tolerated it. But, the world is different with iOS 7.

Every time since my iOS 7 upgrade, my phone has resumed playing the last song it was previously playing when I connect it to the car. This is like a whole new phone and car. I no longer have to listen to A.D. 1928 unless I choose to.

I'm waiting for my 5S to arrive, lets hope it works as flawlessly as my iPhone4...

Spotify and IOS7 doesn't function right when using AUX, I'm praying they get this fixed soon!

I'm not sure about all the PHONE models, but iOS 7 is really taxing on my kids' iPad.

The interface is slow. The reaction times are now slower than my crappy 7 inch Android tablet. Now I know why they put the better processor chip in the 5S!

Go to Accessibility in settings. Turn on Reduce Motion and turn on increase contrast. That gets rid of the two visualization eye candy enhancements that sucks CPU and suck battery. These options are mislabeled counter intuitive and in the wrong place. But they will speed up your iPad significantly.

Didn't know it was mainly those graphical items causing the slowdown. Thanks!

I'm with you. iOS 7 on my iphone 5 a big annoyance, thus far. The readability of the email area has taken a definite nosedive. Then there are the various other tools, like Notes, Calendar and Contacts, that have all turned ghostly white, whereas before they had some color, definition and easier readability. Another messy problem is the new Safari browser "page back" button layout. Now you have to touch twice; first to open it and second to activate it. I would like to give Jony Ive at Apple a prune juice enema.

Just pick a dark background, and in settings/general/accessibility choose bold text and increase contrast. No more ghostly white.

Selecting bold text has its problems. Try typing an email and watch how the right side of the message disappears as you type it.

How do you change the background?

I'm not having any issues with email at all. Works fine, looks fine.
Sorry.

Before iOS 7 the email was much more eye friendly for all ages, in my opinion. What do you think about having to press the page back button twice, instead of once? I also wish that Apple would scrap the physical home button for a screen touch version. That damn home button gets hard on the thumb after 400,000 presses.

Even with the current faults, the iPhone is much more on target with my standards than an Android. I bought an HTC One recently and returned it within 48 hours. It did have great stereo sound, though, from its front facing speakers.
