  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi. A friend of me wants to buy a brand new car, and he cant decide between new Cadenza and Genesis 2013, both are almost in same price, So guys what u prefer?? I preferred him genesis because its rear wheel drive more power and more luxurious feel!!! I will appreciate your opinions

I see posts like this one and others and I am perplexed; I mean everyone on here can give you plenty of reason and opinions as to why your buddy should pic one car over the other, but this is a very personal choice.

Rather than ask a bunch of folks who quite possibly would be very partial to one brand ;) might I suggest that your friend make a list of things he wants in HIS car and then see which vehicle comes closest to the mark. In the end it matters not what anyone else thinks/feels/or even knows as your friend is the one who has to live with the car not any of us.

Im agree with you, but its just taking guys opinions, for example you as yourself assume that u dont have a car and u got to choose between these two cars, then which one you would get! Its smth personal but still it nice if we take guys opinions because some of us here may drove both and experienced the difference so they may can help !

Just another opinion, so here goes.

The Cadenza is not a comparable vehicle to the G. Basically, it's the Kia version of the Azera which is a nice car, but for even more money. If that suits you or your buddy, I would say buy the Azera and save a few dollars. The Kia K9 is the Genesis/Equus equivalent.

The Cadenza is much more difficult to enter and exit than the Genesis- It also is much more expensive to purchase when all the rebates and deals are used to buy a G

You want an opinion? Have your friend WAIT until the next gen Genesis is announced. Only a couple of months until the Detroit Auto Show!

Having said that, I like the new Cadenza. But I prefer RWD, so unless the new Genesis is ugly, I'd always pick the Hyundai over the Kia.

I don't believe the Genny is a more luxurious car than the Cadenza. I see it the other way around......... however, outside that it would be a tough call. Buying a "first" generation anything goes against my better judgement. Maybe even a 2nd generation would be in question as well. It good Hyundai the 4th year to finally change the suspension on the Genny to make the ride decent. Then they screwed up with the R-Spec and made it rougher riding than the original Gennys. Go figure.
