  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New to this site and purchased my used 2009 Genesis in mid November.
I'd noticed this afternoon coming home and parking that the sensors were on, but pulling into the garage my sensors didn't beep or indicate how close I was to any objects. So I backed out and tried again, to notice that the dash showed ALL the sensors front & back on. In pulling back into the garage still no beeping indicating how close I was. Any idea what is going?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Just bought my 2014 genesis 3.8, premium pkg., and in asking to have a rear back up sensor installed, I was told would have buy an after market one.

Just to clarify, the beeper type I want is the one that beeps more rapidly as you get closer to any objects when backing up. Wondering if anyone can make any recommendations and if rear bumper had be removed, if sensor(s) we're the color of the bumper, and price would be helpful. Thank you

That's one of the odd problems my Genny hasn't had (2010). You may be under warranty on that, but, check with the dealer. I love my parking assist gadget!!!

They worked fine up until a week or so ago. Now when I get close to something all the sensors around the car show 3 bars, none of them go any lower as they used to and no audio signal.

Suggest you just live with the stock rearview camera. Works fine for me. I have beeper sensors only on my other car and I've grown to prefer the camera in the Genesis if I can only have one of the two systems. Unless you do a lot of parallel parking, which I do not, you won't miss the beeper.

I am having four white sensors installed will let you know more once job is done...

Just had my second sensor replaced. When they fail they will give a continuous warning, ( which can't be switched off) when you are below 5 MPH.
THey are a warranty item. Doesn't take long to troubleshoot at the dealer and when they get the part it's about 20 minutes to install.
