  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The manager at the dealership I bought my R-Spec from called the other day to say they had just gotten in their first 2015 Genesis. It was still being detailed, but I should stop and take it for a test drive.

So I stopped yesterday just to see how it actually looked. It was a 3.8 with AWD and loaded. The sticker was $49,000 plus!!!!!! I know the AWD adds around $2,000, but............................$49,000!!!!! For a 3.8??????

The interior was nice, but I like the exterior on my 2013 better.

Yes, I just got my 2014 R-spec a few weeks ago. I figured the 2015 would be another $15 Grand over my R-Spec for an "Unknown Commodity". And as You, I like the Styling of the 1st gen Better.

Sticker for 2015 V8 loaded (Ultimate), but without AWD is over $55K.

I like the 1 st Gen styling over the new one also!!!

Dealer where I bought my 2014 a few weeks ago has a 2015 3.8, as "stripped" as you can get, for $38,114 (including freight), $1,000 over invoice but about $1,100 under MSRP. Only "options" are rear bumper applique, reversible cargo tray, wheel locks, beige leather seating surfaces, first aid kit, and Montecito blue. I'm thinking the color and the leather aren't really options.

It also gets zero MPG, which is kinda low, IMHO...

That's why I picked up a 2014 Equus Signature in White Satin Pearl for 55,053 out the door Friday 5/9/14 :D
That is what I would have done if I were in the market for a new car.

I wonder if Hyundai has shot themselves in the foot. They would like to move their image upscale. The price point and features that the Genesis was at made it an attractive alternative to many Lexus and other products like Buicks and Lincolns. With the initial pricing of the 2015's, not nearly so much.

Might just as well buy the Lexus or whatever.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Hyundai may be able to get away with it if the selling prices are close to $4K below MSRP, like they were last year.
