Have had my 2013 R-Spec for a month now, after upgrading from a 2011 4.6. I've noticed a subtle but somewhat fast, high-pitched shaking or vibrating back and forth in the steering wheel when driving at higher speeds (>50mph approximately). Seems to depend on the road, too. I never noticed this in my 2011, but the car drives straight without pulling, regardless.
Dealer found one tire that was out of balance, so rebalanced. The problem is better, but definitely still there. I don't know how familiar the service advisor was with the R-Spec, as he said "maybe that's just how these drive."
I purchased this car with 2500 miles on it. The owner of the dealership drove it for a while, but my hunch is that it also sat around for a while, too.
I noticed another thread a while back regarding flat spotting on tires that have sat in the lot for a prolonged period. Could this be the case for my vehicle, or something else? Just want to have my ducks in a row for when I go back to the dealer again to have them recheck.
Thanks!
