Ashtray insert for 2009 Genesis

Just purchased a 2009 Hyundai Genesis and need the ashtray insert. Anyone have one available that they would be willing to part with for a fair price?

Mine went in the trash the first day I owned my 2009. That compartment was where my mailbox keys, my trailer keys, and a small flashlight that lived in the lighter socket lived.

I need one too, but for different purposes.

I am going to use the bottom of it to create a mold for the custom tablet mount I am making. It will lock in place and plug into the lighter and hold the tablet over the disk changer.

When I find one, and I will, I will sell it to you. I only need to use it for 10 minutes and wont even alter the condition.

Dealer does not seem to have that part. They have the whole assembly which is close to $300.00

Price online is $221.02 plus shipping.

I am sure someone on this forum is not using their ashtray and would sell it. Maybe you should make an offer and see who bites?

I have an unused one and I'd give it to you if you lived nearby. Just checked, nowhere to be found but I don't think I threw it away.

Does anyone actually smoke in their car any longer? I can't think of anything that would depreciate a car faster than a car that has been smoked in. JMO.

Just found it. I appears to be never used but comes out of a 2013 model. Will it fit your 2009? This is just the insert though. I have no use for it.

I can agree with you. I just don't know anyone who has a decent car who smokes in one. I was just saying that I would never buy a used car that has been smoked in. In fact, I bought and paid for a car in Fort Worth a number of years ago and and I specifically asked if it was smoke free. I was assured it wasn't. This was on ebay. When I went to get it, it had been and the deal was backed out and my money refunded.

I quit smoking in 1972, after 10 years, and the smell of smoke nearly makes me ill to be near it and many people feel the same way.

Koreans are heavy smokers, but I can't figure why Hyundai doesn't at least sell a coin holder as a replaceable insert. Get on the stick, Hyundai!
