  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just curios, but I'm sure the 5.0 and the rspec are extremely close if not the same, so both are fine. I always see 4.8 on this site, but never see those numbers with edmonds or other car critiquers. I guess to achieve 4.8, the conditions and all variables with the car must be next to perfect - ideal.

ps too bad there's no Dinan software for it. :)

I doubt anyone here has actually credibly timed this benchmark.

I loved Dinan software in my 540i...I was doing 0-60 in 5.4sec., not bad for ~282HP and 320 lb-ft of torque ;)

ya, dinan is great software. i doubt there's enough demand for performance software in the genesis, not to mention Hyundai offers no access to its system.

If nothing serious comes out in the next 2 years for our cars, I'll sell it and move on.
I was thinking about new Mustang the other day ...Shelby GT500

I just need more power, that's all. ;)

You'll still have the pictures of my car :D

My 0-60 time?
It took three days.:o
At least it seems like it.
Way too slow I must say.
A Honda cruiser beat me the other day at the line. :o
It needs a tune badly to unleash the beast inside her.

I'm slightly offended that there was no invitation to the 3.8's to post their times.

Anyways, enjoy: http://youtu.be/KZN6_zDw1xk

With these wheels on the base model, 0-59mph is actually my 0-60. I've timed 5.9s without weather correction and around 5.7s with the correction. It's humid and/or hot around her this time of the year.

Throw in the one foot roll-out that everyone but Edmund's uses and you're looking at mid-5's for my 3.8, which is the value I use to compare to magazine times. This is also how the sub-5 second times for the 5.0L are times.

This is with a cat-back, intake, and cat-deletes on the base model.
