  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So when exactly is the Coupe being released?

Everyday I look at more pics of the Coupe and the more I'm biting at the bit to get one. My only problem is I have yet to here of a release date for the Coupe. Anybody hear as to when this is going to be happening?

Last I heard it is supposed to be available in March.

Also heard that actual US pricing is supposed to be unveiled this week at the Chicago Auto Show.

Pricing has already been shown on here in another thread. I will be picking up a 2.0T Track model:D

That was "estimated" pricing based on the official "Canadian" prices using the current exchange rate between US & Canadian currencies.

Possibly pretty close, but Hyundai may treat the US market differently than Canada ... so it's still anyone's guess as to what the ACTUAL US prices will be until they are officially anounced.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Official launch date is tomorrow Feb 11, 2009 at the Chicago Auto Show. That is where its rumored the pricing will also be announced.

It might take some time for the dealers to get the Coupe's in stock due to the transport issues. All the Genesis Coupe gets shipped out from a port in Oregon to the rest of the country. East coasters might take a while. They are speculating by mid March - April, all the dealers should have a sufficient numbers in stock. Honestly, in my opinion, this car will sell out fast.

Best news I've heard in quite some time, inus it taking longer for them to get to the east coast. BOOO!!!

We always get the shot end of the stick. Though there some Shipping yards in Jersey, I assume they are for European deliveries.

This was we can get reviews from the West Coast boys before we buy ours!

Press release today from Hyundai says, "Genesis Coupe will begin arriving in dealerships later in the month." So, later this month.

So late February, very nice.

BTW, east coast vs west coast isn't such a huge differential - usually 2-3 days unless Hyundai is REALLY slow at processing and shipping cars (which that doesn't seem to be true).

Can't wait to see one in person so I can make some decisions.

Now the real question is how long will it take for the dealers to start letting them go sub-MSRP...

And what the invoice, holdbacks, etc are.

As for sub-MSRP, in this economy, hopefully faster than we think. Plus dealers who sell in volume go sub-MSRP basically instantly.

i called the dealer today and im going in on saturday to put a order on a t track model and i should take order in early march

I called up the dealer here and they said they'll have some in by the end of the month. Man i can't wait :)

There are now 2000 coupes in the US, and will be at dealers soon.

Edit: Forgot to mention that R-Spec will be available late 2Q or 3Q this year.

2000 ? Where doesthis come from please ? What is the release over the next few months ? A dealer told me that these will not be avaiable in full till late spring-summer.

What does "in full" mean? There are 2000 Genesis Coupes that arrived in the US at port of entry, and they will be at the dealers soon, probably by end of this month. I don't know how many Hyundai dealers there are, but if you find out, you can do the math as to how many each will get.

I talked to the dealer here and they said they will have them in for sale by the end of the month.

Our first one is here NOW! They are unloading a red on black 3.8 auto touring from the truck right now! Woot!

*****EDIT: This car is a 3.8 base, NOT a Touring. Sorry, I got a little carried away in my excitement!*****
