He lives in VA, which means that he can have 35% VLT on rear glass, 35% on rear side windows, and 50% on front side windows, and nothing on windshield (except for strip at top of windshield which is factory tinted). I guess he has diplomatic immunity or something.5% tint? That means it filters out 95%, right? Is that legal where you're at? I can't tint beyond 32% in GA.

Thanks bro!Looks nice! I bet, the owner of E39 parked next to you car must be jealous now ...I know I would....only if I didn't have mine tinted already![]()
Are you looking for looks, privacy, or heat rejection? Privacy on a tinted car is somewhat determined by the color of your interior (a lighter tint looks darker inside when interior is black). Normally, for best heat rejection and decent/good privacy, a high quality ceramic tint film is recommended, which will not fade or discolor. Formula One Pinnacle or equivalent is a good choice.Just picked up my 5.0 Ultimate today! Tint appointment Monday. Still haven't decided on the % (legal or illegal) anyone get 32% and wish that they had gotten it darker or vice versa?
Being that you are from Houston, I would go 40 everywhere except for 90 on windshield. That is perfectly legal in TX.Going to a shop now to install 3m crystalline all over - 40 in the back, 70 - front and sunroof and 90 windshield. YAY
