  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Love the look of a rear window spoiler along with a trunk lid spoiler so did the install on my Sonata and added the window spoiler to my Coupe and now have done the window spoiler for the Sedan with the trunk spoiler to come.

This spoiler came unprimed and unpainted so had to prime and paint. It's very "heavy" and flexible; kind of like a bar of rubber. Paint supplies came from Automotive TouchUp Paint, the same company I got the paint supplies from to paint the Prodigy lip for my Coupe.

Unlike the spoiler for the Coupe, this spoiler simply adheres to the rear window and window seal via 3M double sided tape, so installation is very easy. Here's pics, enjoy!

Hi Silver Gen,

That rear window spoiler looks fantastic!

I just bought a 2014 Genesis 3.8 Sedan, Parisian Grey and would like to add that same spoiler.

Where can I go to order one of those?

Thanks and the car looks great! :)

You could have mine which was bought and painted by myself but never got around to install it.
PM me if interested.

Steve

Just tried to send it again.

I just tried to send you the reply back to the PM you sent me and it says you've chosen not to accept PM messages??

So the system won't let me reply back to you..let me know what you want for it & ill take a trip up to the body shop tomorrow and inquire on how much it would cost to paint it Parisian Grey.. I understand its a rubber spoiler so they might charge more or??

No idea why it won't accept the reply.
I thought I enabled all the possible options in my pm profile.

Thank you 61Espo! Unlike most rear window spoilers, this one is very "sturdy". It's basically a solid hunk of rubber formed and "cut" into the shape you see. It's pretty heavy, as well as being very flexible, so when you paint it (or have it painted), you have to make sure the paint will "flex" with the spoiler while you're installing it; otherwise you'll get "cracks" in the paint.

Also you almost have to sit on it to "seal" it to the rear window; this is because the double-sided tape it comes with, in my opinion, doesn't really stick that good. But the good thing, if it comes loose, you can get some 3-M 20lb double sided to put it back on. ;) Other than that, it's a pretty simple install; the "hard" part is the painting. If you and Videopho can't make a connection, here's the information for where I purchased mine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-Roof-S...3-4dr-sedan-/360674582623?hash=item53f9e1605f

SilverGen-
It's the same seller where I bought mine.
Now it's time for you to consider a trunk lip spoiler to complete that 'cool' look of your ride.:)

Videopho, you read my mind, lol. I've already ordered and received it, just haven't taken the time yet to put in on. :D
