Tricky question on head and speaker operation.

I have a 2012 5.0 Sedan with tech. package. Great car and everything has worked perfectly on I.

On my head display in the XM SIRIUS mode or the radio mode there are three icons available on the bottom information bar which are:

1st one on the left the Bluetooth "On-Off" indicator which I understand.

Immediately to the right is an Icon which I not understand and is not shown any-where in my manuals. It is a vertical rectangle with three bars shown: top, middle and bottom. Off the middle bar is a line to the right with a speaker symbol and the speaker symbol has an X thru it. All speakers are working and I was asking if anyone knows what this means?

The next icon to the right is a speaker with an X then it which appears when I turn the radio off and disappear with the radio on.

The speaker with an X would indicate that voice navigation is off/muted.

To enable voice navigation, go to NAV screen click the wheel and uncheck the MUTE (I am doing this from memory ) and this symbol should disappear, that way you can hear the voice guidance when you have a destination / navigation set..

As far as the Triangle/bars, this is normally would indicate a cell reception of some sort associated with a service such as blue link, however I did not think that the 2012 model had any blue link (but I could be wrong), do you have SoS button on the mirror?

If you do not, then can you check the reception on your cell? to see the reception / signal strength matches the symbol? if you turn off your blue tooth phone, does that symbol go away?

BTW, just in case you are not aware, the Tech NAV manual is different than the car operation manual.
