  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have the 2014 base 3.8 model. I would like to get the touchscreen navigation. I saw the UNAVI X5. But I am also researching on ebay what parts I would have to purchase. The 2 dealerships I called were unhelpful, is there someone that can help me?

I did find a touchscreen on ebay that is decently priced and it works, is there more I need to buy?

Does anyone have any other suggestions or should I just go to a local car stereo store and see what they suggest?

Thanks,

Jon

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Assuming you have a 2009-2013 Genesis (not sure about 2014), the UNAVI is probably your best bet (and probably only choice for a built-in Nav). I doubt that anyone could install the Hyundai OEM Touch Screen Nav unit in a Base Trim model unless you replaced the dash. UNAVI representatives are members of this forum and have posted here, so I would contact them for more detailed information.

Also, that ebay link looks like it is just a display screen, not a complete NAV unit. Not sure if that is the touch screen or DIS screen (Tech Package).

Personally, I would look at a Garmin Nav with temporary bean bag mount (or something other mounting system). You can get a good one for about $100 that has free lifetime map updates (usually available quarterly). There are also some voice response units that are a little more expensive, but still quite reasonable compared other options.
