I am bit confused about how SIRUS NAVtraffic interfaces with the navigation system. SIRIUS provides the Traffic updates but not the map updates. So what happens when the SIRUS subscription ends after 3 years? The navigation system stops working? Or just the traffic updates stops showing on the navigation screen?
I asked this to a SIRIUS representative and they said yes th eNavigation system stops working. What do you Gurus have to say on this.

Sirius rep is wrong - what will stop working is the traffic portion (colorization on map, detour, etc...)

Ends at 3 years? Did you mean 3 months?

There may be a different subscription length for data than music, I am not sure.

the car comes with 3 months demo of the SXM all access package AND 4 years of sirius Navtraffic (this is the colored lines on major roads,weather,gas prices) the info is embedded in the SXM signal that car car picks up..You can have one without the other nor does it have any effects on your actual Nav map

I guess so, it depends on what type you got, I have the Ultimate and yes it's 3 years complimentary subscription, besides the traffic, it shows closest gas stations with prices, weather, stock market and sports scores

How do you access the weather info on in the system. Does it just show up on the map by default?

No, I go to SiriusXM data icon, from the home menu , and it shows weather , then below its traffic, you press on traffic and it's shows accidents road construction, then is another line below with gas stations , press on that and it will show nearest gas stations with fuel prices , and then is stock prices, you can add remove which ones to show, and then is sports , you can choose your favorite sport game, like hockey, football, and favorite team, it will show you the scores for them, and then below is movie theaters around your location and it shows what movies are playing and what time they start

Ah...gotcha. Thanks for the detail. I will look for it there on my system. Not sure what the Signature package includes with respect to that. I know I have seen Traffic before.

Just so I'm clear: you mean that what you get complimentarily for 3 years is the "traffic ... closest gas stations with prices, weather, stock market and sports scores ...," correct? NOT arguing, I REALLY am trying to make sure I get it, promise!

I say this because Siriusxm has been multi-forms-of-communication nagging me to re-sign as my 3 months is coming to an end soon. They started at a fairly high level and now they're offering me a limited (tons of music channels not so much sports access) 6 months for cost of 2 months deal.

Since we have AM/FM/CD/Jukebox/USB/iPhone for distraction, for a few bucks I may take it, but since I don't often travel to the kind of places where, as a friend of mine would say, "We got both kinds of stations here: country AND western ..." unless it's cheapo it just isn't worth it for me.

Its easy to spot, when you are at the home menu, you'll see the Sirrius XM. Data icon.
Btw do you have Canadian model or US?
It's only available in US models.

That's correct 3 years with the Ultimate package, I know you have that, so it's has to be at yours as well.
I know they are really pushing for subscribing they services, my previous Hyundai Sonata 2012 2.0T Limited, I subscribed for a year after 3 month trial ended. But I decided not to renew , they called me every day, sent emails, gave discounts, after like a month trying to convince me , they even offered 3 months free again, I still refused, finally they lowered the price so low that,if I remember correctly was like 7$ a month, I was laughing, thought maybe after another month, they will pay me just to get me sign up
