Keep the standard key fob in trunk or glove box to give to valets?

You won't be able to lock the car , if you leave the spare key inside the car.

When leaving your keys with a parking lot attendant or valet, perform steps 1 to 4 above, remove the mechanical key from the smart key and leave the smart key with the attendant. In this manner the smart key can only be used to start the engine and operate door locks.

I really don't get it, why is that recommended? What more available options the valet parking attendant would have if he got the whole key? Or that's for our convenience that we don't have to untangle the key from key ring where all other keys are?

You disable access to the trunk:

Trunk locking
To activate the trunk lock system so that the trunk can only be opened with the mechanical key, perform the following:
1. Depress and hold the release button
(1) and remove the mechanical key (2). (To reinstall the mechanical key, put the key into the hole and push it until a click sound is heard.)
2. Open the glove box.
3. Set the trunk lid control button to OFF
position (not depressed).
4. Close and lock the glove box using the mechanical key.

Oww, thanks for the info, I knew about the trunk feature, but didn't know that we can lock glove box.

The shipping is $50.00 (approximately). If we bought all I wonder if the shipping would be the same and at least cut down on that.

Finding the key card in the US is difficult. I called the office of David Zuchowski (HMA president) and spoke to one of his assistants. He is looking into it and will get back with me in the next few days.

Just purchased mine...due to arrive by 11/21.

Will be trying to get a So Cal dealer to program and cut the key from there.

Yeah, it does work, I already forgot how is to have a keys in pocket feels good
I got from this guy, it's US seller, and if you add the Korea seller price to shipping charges, it's the same thing, only from US seller it comes faster

Just to do my part, I have friends who own/run garages - who led me to the dealer from whom I bought my baby after dealing with a bunch of @sshats first - and I'm asking them to look into the cards as well.

I just spoke with the president's assistant at HMA. He said they are trying to add the key card so US dealers can sell it, but it currently is not available. So far, I havent found a source that can get it. It probably will have to be a source that can deal directly wit Hyundai Mobis.

eBay sells it. I got my from US seller, came very fast , sellers name genuine_mobis_parts
He's from CA.
