When it comes to lighting, I'm super picky. So I am usually specific for what kind of bulb or color temp. I'm looking for. I have used many bulbs in the past including Catz, Piaa, Sylvania Silverstar, and about 4 others.

I have found bulbs that I liked, but never could get the color of the light produced the way I really wanted it.

I finally found that bulb and details below with pictures after install:

Photos may not be perfect, but the only camera I have is my phone.

BTW,

There is a TON of room for the fog light bulb application, I jacked up my car and stuck my entire head in there.

At least something was easy on this car.

Update.............
I checked the website posted, and found that they do have Yellow H8 bulbs for sale. Will order a set soon.

Looks great, however I would love to have Yellow Fog Lamps.

I'd go for Brilliant White for the High Beams, in addition to the HID Low Beams, but for the Fog Lamps, I like them to be yellow.

Wish the Fog Lamp holders took the H7 vice the H8, because I have two H7's that I would love to use.

In addition, I wish the Fog Lamps would switch on with just the parking lamps on, vice having to have the headlights on. These are not true Fog Lamps, but rather "Beauty Lamps" that are set low. For Fog Lamps to work, they have to be low (yellow is best) with a sharp cutoff, but with the headlights on, too much light is reflected back to the driver. With two of my previous cars, I could drive with just the Fog Lamps on while the parking lamps were on, (in daylight, in rain or fog, but not at night) without the headlights being on. Oh well, I guess you can't make everyone happy, but I can live with it as is.

Well, I got the new Titanium White fog lights installed.

I took some pics in the garage, but it's hard to tell a difference in the pics. The bulbs match the HIDs alot better if that's the look you're going after.

Hey scottdk I noticed you have a v8 tech pakg with HID. I was just wondering if I can use this light bulbs on my v6 prem plus pkg with no HID lights.
also can you notice the difference between the stock ones and the new ones?

Sorry I just saw the title: Titanium White H8 fog light.
but anyway what number we use for the headlights "with prem plus pakg/ no HID.

You're low beam are an H11. I also just ordered the Titanium White for the High beam (H7) as well which are 55W and a larger bulb than the one I ordered for the fog lights.......so in tern it should they high beams should be the clearest and brightest for the type of bulb.:)

Anyone interested in my Titanium High beam (H7) bulbs and fog light bulbs?

Well, since I changed my fog lights to HID and changed my high beam bulbs out, I don't need these bulbs sitting around collecting dust.

Anyone interested in buying these bulbs? I figure I'll ship them to you for $20 total for one set or $40 for both sets of bulbs. I paid $70/pair.

Thanks:D

Why does the box say 55W and the specs say 35W?

I remember someone on this forum having the Fog Lamp Housing MELT due to them getting overheated with higher wattage lamps.

Hmmm, I'll go look at my box and report the info.

The high beams are 55W just like the stock bulbs, and the fogs are 35W just like the stock bulbs also.

No melting since it's the factory wattage.

Scott,

You are CORRECT. I did not notice that the box shown was for the H11 (clear white) bulb and when I looked at the yellow bulb, the box shows it is the H10.

When I get "A Round Tuit", I will order the yellow H8 for the fogs.

I know that changing the H8 Fogs (yellow) are easy from all I've read. How difficult is it to change the H7 High Beams? If easy, I may order the H7's (bright white), but if it is a "project" to change out the High Beams, I'll just leave the stock high beam lamps in there.

(Sure wish I could figure out a way to light up the fogs with just the "parking" lights on).

Take a look at this.......

also, it's not hard to change the high beams. Just take out 3 bolts to the fuse box under the hood by the driver's side lens and that pushes out of the way. Than you only have 1 bolt on the passenger side which you need to move the air cleaner assembly and this is more difficult since there is not much room to move the air box, but I managed.

Scott,

What does the "Wattage [Output] 110" mean? If it draws 35Watts, what is the110Watts all about. Will it melt the housing because the housing is designed for the heat from a 35Watt bulb?

I need to know this because one of the manufacturers of Yellow Bulbs I'm thinking of buying (Nokya) says 35/55 watt. Can't remember what the Luminics Yellow bulb says about wattage, 35W or 35/55W. I do want a color temperature of around 2500K (3000K is not yellow enough).

The 110W means it has the light output equivalent to 110W, but only consumes 35W.

Same goes for the factory HID low beams.....cars that have standard halogen bulbs are 55W, but factory HID systems use a 35W bulb since @ 4300K there is much more light output compared to a halogen bulb and doesn't need to consume more power to reach that light output.

Similar to the CFL's people now use in their homes, a 60W cfl means, it's equivelent to a 60W bulb in brightness, but only consumes around 15W instead of 60. Energy savings etc.

hey guys so i just purchased some H8 bulbs for my fog lights, but i was wondering if anyone can reply back with the type of experience they had with fog lights with non OEM bulbs in the long run.

I know one of our members had a thread about how his bulb casing actually melted away even when he used H8 Nokya 35w Yellow bulbs.

However it seems ScottDK had success with his bright white bulbs that were again H8 35W for his fog lights. Scott says there were no burns at all.

Anyone care to add onto this discussion? I myself will be trying out the 8500K bulbs that i found for a great deal, and will probably be getting them by end of next week. I have a cool idea for these cool blue bulbs.... Please share though!

I believe it was Pinggolf that had the melting problem. Does anyone know why that happened?

What is your cool idea, please share:D Sounds like you have other plans for the bulbs vs using them for the fog lights. BTW, 8500K will be like you have your fogs lights off, they'll be so dim. I couldn't stand the 5500K that I bought which is why I bought HID @ 4300 like the stock headlights and now I can see:)

Now, if you stick to a 35w bulb, you should be fine and not melt anything since this is the same wattage as the OEM bulb, but keep in mind the lower the color temp, the hotter the bulbs get. It's amazing what only a couple hundred K's in color temp will change in temp.
