  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A new NAV software update was released at the end of September this year and I contacted the dealer about loading it into my 2012 4.6. I was informed the price was $175.00 but that Hyundai (due to customer issues with the NAV system) was performing the update free of charge for a limited time. The update has to be completed before 12/31/14 to take advantage of this deal. I don't know what models/years are affected, but it's in your best interest to look into this offer and potentially save some coin. Make the call. Now.

What's the reference on this? I'd like to be able to tell my dealer how to find it.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I recently had my Genesis GPS updated. Big mistake!! The screen background is a beige with white roads. The smaller roads are hard to see. In bright sunlight with sun glasses, You can't see the display. I asked the service department to remove the update. I was told this could not be done. I wanted new roads add. I wasn't expecting to get my display changed. Hyundai should have a fix for this screw up. I will be using my portable GPS and telling everyone not to buy a Hyundai.

To jlindh....

Just tell him it was the September (I think the 24th) of 2014 GPS/NAV firmware update. He'll know what it is and he should know about the deal. He gets the same money from Hyundai that he would get from you (if he's honest) so there is no gain for not sharing this info with you. By the way, I have the non-touch, 8 1/2 inch, joy stick unit that comes with the 4.6 as stock
(the Lexicon system).

Good Luck

Use the zoom button to get a closer view of the map. That's what the button is for.
