New years glitch with head unit?

I took 2 trips with the car today and each time, within 30 seconds of putting it in drive, the music swapped from the radio to a mymedia file stored on the HDD. The last trip was to pick up Chinese take-out and it did not do it on the return trip home. Also, the first trip this morning, i let it run for a couple minutes to warm up before I left and it happened after i was in the car and driving. Anyone else experience anything like this?

I have had similar problems with Chinese food. Try Tex-Mex next time.

My Radio has switched music formats several times today from XM to an AM station. It seems to happen when placing the car in reverse. This has never happened prior to today.

I've been on the road twice today and no issues with my head unit. Had the software upgrade done a few weeks ago.

Mine has had the same issue since yesterday. When putting car into gear it switches to another station. The. It functions fine. Odd......

Mine switched to AM from XM this morning while I was backing out of the garage.

OMG I thought I was the only one. I bought my car last month my car dob is 17 Sept. And I am having exact same issue. Car switching station after 5-6 mins when you drive I mean turn On.

I have also had this happen. Mine switched from XM to AM when I went around a corner (turning left at an intersection) and on my return trip when I first started the car it was on AM, I had it on XM prior to shut down. Something funny is going on here and it would seem to have takin place Jan 01 2015. ummm?? Is this some type of hack or mis-scipted programmed event. The common denominator here is the DATE, 01 Jan 2015 or later.

Had the same thing happen. I think there was an XM update that caused the radio to go a little wonky.

There is a known issue with the Ultimate stereo changing to the XM preview station at random times. I was told that they are working on a fix.

I had this "free preview" problem with my first generation Genesis every few months. I finally called XM and gave them my VIN and told them to completely remove my car from their system. No problems after that.

Mine just rebooted itself while listening to the jukebox same day jan 1st about 7am. Mac

Are you sure you aren't accidently hitting the MODE changer on the steering wheel and it is changing modes? I have don't this a few times while turning and the radio goes from FM to another mode. I found that it was actually me hitting the MODE changer on the steering wheel. Just a thought.

Absolutely sure I am not hitting anything. This has now occurred about 10 times since Jan 1. Only once has the radio stayed on XM when starting the car.... Wait about 20 seconds and it clicks over to FM or AM by itself. Since multiple people are having issue, this is more than likely software and hardware.

However once you change it back to XM it stays until the next time you start the car. Hopefully a software update will fix.

There is no way to hit the button accidentally. There is problem in the system and started after Jan 1.

Dealership updated it for me. I had dropped by as its on my way home and they completed it. Was there no longer than 45 minutes. Sure the update only took a few minutes.
