Side mirrors while reversing question

When backing both my side mirrors came preset by my dealer or the factory with the side mirror tilt down while reversing feature activated. I can't figure out how to make the tilt down feature work on just the passenger mirror and not tilt down the driver mirror as well? The manual is unclear.

I don't believe you can do that.

Hope you're wrong. If you're not that little misstep can go in the box with only V8's need fog lights in the US .

It all or none. They tilt when wither mirror is selected, but the tilt feature does not work independently. It shouldn't really matter since you would only be looking at the mirror on the side of the car where the view is necessary.

Also I realized that you can shut this feature off by not selecting the pass mirror. If the pass mirror is lit, it is active and when not selected it is deactivated.

I don't believe you can do that either...

While it worked on older Genesis, it doesn't work on '13 and probably they fu**ed that up in new one too. Driver's side mirror tilting down is useless.

If you have a base model, it probably doesn't do that maneuver. My car makes espresso coffee when the mirrors are tilted down, but that feature may have not made it into the '15 model.

Strange thing initially on my 2011 it did work that way. After a few visits to the dealer for service it never worked that way again. Not saying the dealer did it just seems strange. I did like that feature.

My 4.6 2010 worked individual mirrors. My 2012 worked just as described for the 2015. They obviously did change things. To be honest with you I hate it when they move down and always leave it off. IMHO it is more important to see the side of your car than your wheels. If you need to look at your wheels in order to back up properly you need to learn how to drive.

Get a grip, folks. Simple solution. Put car into reverse with foot on brake. Next set mirror switch to your preferred view, down or up. After seeing that view, throw the switch and look at the other view, if you need to. Then back up.

Well, after a multitude of responses to my initial post it's obvious that no one really knows the answer when dealing with a 2015 Genesis . PMCErnie's response sounds similar to setup on a few other cars that have reversing tilt down but I can't tell if sarcasm or fact is in his reply- besides his car is not an 2015.

It's pretty clear.

They are activated through the mirror selector switch and the options are both flip down or they do nothing. There is no selecting one side only.

You cannot adjust the mirrors to a certain angle.

My suggestion relates to coming to grips with reality. Sometimes I wish I'd married a blonde, or a redhead. Be happy you have a switch to flip.
