Hello everyone! I just purchased a 2010 genesis coupe 3.8 base 50,000 ,lies certified preowneed. I'm coming from a boosted saab with too many altercations. I have this vehicle for the next 5 years and I'm beyond excited! I love it so far ! I have an automatic

coming from a manual to my first auto is different but with this much power idec! I love the power and pull, especially coming from a boosted engine it's tough getting use to no lag. The rwd was a little tricky at first but I'm learning how to switch lanes without kicking the back out etc.. Any tips for driving safely ? Besides driving slow lmao. Umm I'm from Massachusetts , south shore area. If there are any other mass genesis owners let me know !! I'm looking for a group or something ! The one question I have is does my coupe have he zf tranny ?? Thanks guys look forward to being here for a while! Peace -Jeff
Most, if not all, of your generation was brought up on front
wheel drive. RWD has a lot of advantages, but it can also be a disadvantage if you're not used to driving one! Imo, if
you want to drive it aggressively....
disengage the traction control. However, experiment
very carefully to learn the difference! A lot of old school muscle cars had a diff. slip rear, but you had to know (learn through experience) what that means when you want to accelerate in turns, curves, etc... The back end WILL kick out....unlike a FWD vehichle. Of course, this is a desire of a lot of drivers, but not all.
You're 22 years old, so PLEASE...be careful! Also, traction control is your friend, so ALWAYS use it in wet road conditions. Again, RWD is my era, not yours, so spend many careful hours learning what this really means. It's not simply a term difference, and it really makes a
big difference in how the car performs/reacts in aggressive applications. Heck, it can even make a lot of difference in under-applied circumstances. It is a different animal, so know this from the start!
Stay safe,
