  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I seem to remember seeing a discussion on this subject in the past, but for the life of me I can’t find it.

On my 2015, when using voice commands my microphone sensitivity seems to be set very high picking up a lot of interference, making voice commands almost unusable. I’ve searched the manual and forums but haven’t discovered how to adjust the microphone sensitivity. (I know how to adjust the voice volume but not the sensitivity).

To save me a 50 mile round trip to the dealer, can anyone give me some pointers?

Tried that. Hitting the talk button and then adjusting the volume (as described in the thread) does not adjust the microphone sensitivity, rather it adjusts the volume of the voice command prompts (the lady). At least that is the way it is working on my car. If this works for others then maybe I have a defect in my system.

I tried that also however same results as you. I believe we were misinformed. Still would like to know if there is a way to adjust the mic sensitivity though.

I was looking for the same thing and found it today. Go in under the phone menu. While I was in a call, there was a button for Mic or Volume Input (something like that, I forget the exact name... if you can't find it let me know and I'll go find the exact name).

It allows you to adjust the mic volume... I was talking with my wife and tried different settings before deciding on "2".

I'm not sure if this affects the mic setting for voice commands or not, though. Hope that helps!

Place a bluetooth phone call and it will be on the left side of the screen under mute. Dont set it high because it makes it worse. I think the default is 3.

Tried the bluetooth setting, but it didn't make any difference whatsoever on the microphone level for normal voice command operations. Guess it is time for a trip to the dealer.

Re-read your post. Try waiting 3 secs in silence. The system seems to auto-level the sensitivity, but you have to be slow and patient
